Outwell Jonesville 440SA Flex Car Tent
Outwell Jonesville is a free-standing drive-away awning that uses air tubes instead of tent poles. A smart feature is that the tent runs along the car instead of sticking straight out, which significantly reduces the width required on the campsite. The tent can also be used without the connection tunnel if you want to use it as a regular family tent (it is recommended to purchase the inner tent in this case). The tent is entirely free-standing, so it can be left at the campsite while you take the car for a trip. The connection tunnel accommodates cars with a height between 175 and 200 cm.

Flexible car tent
The Outwell Jonesville 440SA Flex is a car tent with air beams from Danish Outwell. The tent is extremely easy to set up and pitch, fitting most cars with a height of up to 200 cm to the rail or roof. Two advantages of the tent compared to others are that it runs along the car, giving a really large tent without encroaching on the neighbor’s camping spot, and that it can also be used as a regular family tent without a connection tunnel.

About the Outwell Jonesville 440SA Flex Car Tent
The Outwell Jonesville 440SA is a car tent with a really high level of comfort. Thanks to the tent running along the car instead of straight out, Outwell has given it a length of 540 cm, providing plenty of space to socialize in the tent even when using a sleeping cabin. The bent air beams provide good ceiling height in large parts of the tent. Both the car and the tent are easily accessible either via the large front door, the tent's side door, or the small doors on the sides of the connection tunnel. On warm days, the entire front can be opened to create a protected outdoor space. If there are insects around, just pull down the mosquito door at the front or the tent’s side doors. The tent also has a sewn-in groundsheet, which eliminates drafts, keeps insects out, and reduces condensation.
The connection tunnel has a large door so the tent can be opened up to the car. If you want to leave with the car and leave the tent behind, just close the doors and detach the connection tunnel from the car. A smart feature is that the tent can also be used without the connection tunnel.
The large tinted windows provide a bright interior while reducing visibility from outside. The tent windows are equipped with curtains with zippers, making it easy to regulate both light and privacy in the tent. The tent fabric itself is strong, with a water column of 6000 mm and taped seams, so there is no need to worry about rain and bad weather.
Outwell ONS System
Innovative lighting for Outwell’s Imperial Air and Superior Air Touring tent series. The tents’ HookTrack System is a fiber optic cable that can emit light. The ONS Light Unit Set connects to the fiber optic cable and lights up the tent and/or the entrance.
Moveable Front
A smart feature is that the front door can be detached and moved to the far end of the tent. Then roll out the built-in groundsheet in the front and attach it on the other side, extending the living area by 115 cm. A great feature for bad weather when you want to create extra space for the children or if you have visitors.
Sleeping Cabin
The tent is prepared for a sleeping cabin that accommodates four people divided into two rooms. Perfect for children or just to create more space in the car.
Questions and Answers Air/Smart Air
1. How durable are the air beams?
The beams consist of three layers. The outermost layer is heavy-duty polyester, then a protective PVC layer, followed by the TPU beam itself. The construction makes the beams more wind-resistant than steel or fiberglass poles. However, it is important to use only a pump with a pressure gauge and not to inflate beyond the specified pressure for the tent, as this may damage the beams.
2. What happens if a beam gets punctured or a valve breaks? Will the tent collapse?
The beams are separate, so the tent will not collapse if one gets punctured. They can also be repaired with a repair kit or gaffer/silicone tape. Both the beams and valves are fully replaceable.
