Outwell Iowa 6 Air is a spacious family tent offering high comfort and smart design. The darkened inner tents with Ambassador design provide generous space and reduced light for better sleep. The large open front extension creates a sheltered outdoor area to sit in, protects the entrance from rain, sun, and wind, and offers ample space for storing bikes, a stroller, or other gear you don’t want inside the tent. The large front door can be opened fully, keeping the temperature down on warm days. Combined with tinted windows, flexible curtains, and a ceiling height that adds a light and spacious feeling, the Iowa 6 Air is perfect for families who want a large but flexible tent. The durable Outtex® 6000 ripstop fabric and aerodynamic construction can handle tough weather, while air tubes and the integrated floor make the tent both highly wind-resistant and easy to pitch.

About the Outwell Iowa 6 Air Family Tent

The Outwell Iowa 6 Air is a family tent designed for families or groups of up to 6 people, but we also recommend it for families with 2 or 3 children as the extra space in the bedrooms and living area provides room for luggage and wider beds. The living area with large windows makes the tent bright and pleasant, so no matter the weather, there’s space to eat and spend time together during your holiday. The large protected front entrance creates a patio to sit on or store equipment under. The sides can be opened on sunny days when you just want shade. The large front door opens in two sections, allowing it to be fully opened on warm days or partially for more wind and privacy protection. A sealed groundsheet sewn to the outer tent protects against wind, insects, and dirt.

The combination of air tubes, durable fabric, and a unique guyline construction allows the tent to withstand extreme winds (tested up to 88 km/h). The air tubes are also curved at the top to create a larger standing area inside the tent.

Outwell Iowa 6 Air has a large front entrance and two smaller side doors. The side doors provide easy access to both the sleeping area and the living room, while the large front door opens up the tent on warm days. The front door can be fully or partially opened. All doors can be rolled away completely, creating a fully open and airy tent on hot days. Mesh panels in both the front door and side doors allow extra ventilation without letting insects in.

Ventilation
The rear ventilation can be fully opened to increase airflow on warm days or in the morning. The front ventilation is also well-dimensioned for better cross-flow. Two low vents near the windows provide additional ventilation through the tent. With integrated mesh panels in all the openings, you can increase airflow even when insects are active. Perfect for very hot days or for camping in warmer climates.
 

The Living Area

The living area is spacious with a ceiling height of 225 cm. The large tinted windows keep the heat down and reduce visibility while still letting in lots of natural light. The windows are equipped with roll-away curtains that can be adjusted with zippers, making it easy to control privacy and brightness. The living room can easily be furnished and used as a dining area. On warm days, the front can be fully opened, turning the space into a protected outdoor area.

Outwell Light System
The Outwell Iowa 6 Air is equipped with a dimmable ceiling light strip in the living area, providing a pleasant light inside the tent. The light is controlled via a switch located on the outside of one air tube and powered via USB – from a Power Bank, Power Station or phone charger (not included).

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to hang lamps or other accessories inside the tent. The included hooks also allow you to hang equipment or clothes inside the tent.
 

Sleeping Cabin

The sleeping cabin is divided into 3 bedrooms (2+2+2). The walls between the bedrooms can be removed if you want to gather the whole family in one large bedroom or divide it into one larger and one smaller bedroom. A unique feature is the extra spacious sleeping cabin (Outwell Ambassador Bedroom), which provides extra space both in length and height compared to standard tent cabins, where the beds take up the entire length and the back wall often reduces headroom in large parts of the room. Perfect for storing luggage in the sleeping cabin or just having a bit more space to move around.

Outwell Dark Inners
A thicker dark fabric throughout the sleeping cabin and in the material above the sleeping cabin minimizes the effect of many tent campers' worst enemy: the morning sun. The sleeping cabin also features a curtain that can be rolled down over the ventilation to reduce the light entering through the vent.
 

Outwell Quick & Quiet

Access
The door between the entrance and the living area is equipped with both regular zippers and a magnetic strip (Outwell Quick & Quiet Access). Thanks to the magnetic strip, the door can be opened and closed smoothly without needing to use the zipper, making it easy and convenient to move between the entrance and the living area without bending down or struggling with zippers.

Inner door
One of the bedrooms has, in addition to the zipper, a magnetic strip, allowing it to be opened and closed without the zipper (Outwell Quick & Quiet Inner door). This solution allows you to enter and exit the sleeping cabin without disturbing the rest of the family.  

Other Details

The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is flame retardant. The inner tent is pre-attached upon delivery and does not need to be detached when the tent is packed away. Color-coded poles and pegs simplify the setup.
