Large Family Tent with Dual Living Areas

The Outwell Phoenix 6+2 is a spacious tent with four bedrooms, a bright and pleasant living area, and an additional outdoor room without flooring at the front, which can be used as a sheltered patio or for storage. This layout, common in the camping nation of England, is often referred to as an outer room, inner room, and sleeping quarters. The main part of the tent, including the sleeping cabin and living area, has a fully sewn-in groundsheet, which protects against draughts, insects, and condensation. The magnetic closure/opening in the sleeping cabin allows for quiet and easy access, while the dark walls and ceiling protect against morning sunlight, offering extra comfort during camping vacations. 

The big innovation for 2025 is the new PowerTec poles, which, thanks to their square shape, provide increased strength and wind resistance. The poles perform 40% better than traditional round fiberglass poles.

About Outwell Phoenix 6+2 Family Tent

The Outwell Phoenix 6+2 is a family tent designed for families or groups of up to 8 people, divided into 4 bedrooms. The tent is based on three zones, a principle common in England, referred to as outer room, inner room, and sleeping area.

Thanks to color-coded poles, the tent is easy to pitch despite its size. It features a durable tent fabric that not only withstands rain and wind but also rustles less than simpler fabrics when it moves. Large windows create a bright and pleasant tent, and if you want to reduce visibility, all windows have curtains.

The family tent has two doors, one on the side and one in the front. The side entrance makes the inner living area easily accessible and simplifies placement at the campsite, while it can also be opened on warm days to ventilate the tent.
 

The Living Areas

The tent has two large rooms that can be used for socializing or, for example, storage. As both spaces have their own exit, it’s easy to separate gatherings or, for instance, fill the outer room with luggage.
Large tinted windows provide very pleasant lighting while protecting against visibility. The tent’s windows are also equipped with roll-up curtains adjustable in three positions, making it easy to control the amount of light or visibility.

The inner room has a fully sealed floor. By closing the door to the outer room, you can ensure no drafts or small insects enter, a highly appreciated feature in the evening or in bad weather. Both rooms are easy to furnish.

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lamps or other accessories to the tent. The included hooks also allow you to hang equipment or clothes inside the tent.
 

The Sleeping Cabins

The sleeping cabin is divided into 4 bedrooms (2+2+2+2), with one cabin being movable if you want to place it in the outer room. A dark fabric in the sleeping cabin reduces the impact of many tent campers' worst enemy, the morning sun. The sleeping cabin also has a curtain that can be rolled down over the ventilation opening to reduce the light entering through the vent.

Outwell Quick & Quiet
The large bedroom has, in addition to the zipper, a magnetic strip so the door can be opened and closed without using the zipper (Outwell Quick & Quiet Inner Door). This solution allows you to enter and exit the bedroom without waking the rest of the family.

 

Miscellaneous

The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is flame retardant. The inner tent is pre-mounted upon delivery and does not need to be detached when packing the tent. The poles are color-coded for easier assembly.
