Large Family Tent with Five Rooms

The Outwell Tennessee 7 Air is a tent that, despite being very large, is quick and easy to pitch. All you need to do is secure the tent fabric to the ground, then inflate each channel with the included pump. Attach the guy lines, and the tent is ready to use. Simple, smart, and fast. Two living areas, one of which has a sewn-in groundsheet to protect against drafts and insects, as well as three bedrooms with low light entry to shield against morning sun, provide the extra comfort you seek on your camping holiday. The Outwell Tennessee 7 Air is a replacement for the popular Stonehill 7 Air, where Outwell has made the tent slightly wider, added larger doors, and switched to a PFC-free coating.

About Outwell Tennessee 7 Air

The Outwell Tennessee 7 Air is a family tent designed for families or groups of up to seven people, divided across three bedrooms. For extra comfort, we also recommend it for up to six people to provide additional space in the middle bedroom. The tent is based on a three-zone principle, commonly used in England, referred to as outer room, inner room, and bedrooms.

Instead of poles, this family tent uses Outwell's Rigid Air technology, replacing the poles with air tubes for easy assembly. The five tubes are easily inflated via the valve at the bottom edge on one side of the tent. In addition to its easy setup, the tent features a durable fabric that not only resists rain and wind but also rustles less than simpler materials when it moves. Large windows provide a bright and pleasant tent, and if you want more privacy, curtains are included for all windows. 

Entrances
The family tent has two doors, one on the side and one at the front. The side entrance makes the tent easily accessible regardless of its placement at the campsite and can be opened on warm days to ventilate the tent. The front opening has a two-way zipper, so, for example, only the top section can be opened. The front roof protects the entrance from rain, making it possible to leave shoes and gear outside the tent even in bad weather.

Ventilation
The tent features a wide rear vent that can be adjusted to create extra airflow during warm days or in the morning. Since the front opening has both a two-way zipper and a mesh door, it can be fully opened or just the top part to keep the tent cooler, even if insects are present. The side door also has a mosquito net panel and can be fully opened during warm days.

 

Living Areas

The tent has two rooms for socializing. Both rooms are spacious, and the door between them can be opened to use the entire tent as one large space. Large tinted windows along the sides and at the front provide a very pleasant light while protecting against visibility. The tent's windows are also equipped with roll-up curtains that can be adjusted in three positions, making it easy to control light and privacy.

The outer room can easily be opened up and used for dining or gathering while being protected from the sun and wind. If you want flooring in the outer room, a groundsheet can be purchased separately (not included). 

The inner room has a fully sealed floor. By closing the door to the outer room, you can ensure that no drafts or insects enter. This is a highly appreciated feature in the evening or during bad weather. Both rooms can be furnished.  

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lights or other accessories in the tent. The included hooks also allow you to hang equipment or clothing inside the tent.
 

Sleeping Cabins

The sleeping cabin accommodates up to seven people but is especially suitable for families with two children, as the children can have their own rooms, or for additional storage space or larger mattresses. It is divided into three bedrooms (2+3+2), but the walls between the bedrooms can be removed if you want to adjust the layout or gather the family into one large bedroom. A thicker dark fabric in the sleeping cabin and a darker outer tent fabric above the sleeping area reduce the effect of campers’ worst enemy: the morning sun.

The large bedroom has a magnetic strip in addition to the zipper (Outwell Quick & Quiet Inner door), allowing it to be opened and closed quietly without a zipper. This solution makes it possible to enter and exit the sleeping cabin without waking the rest of the family.
 

Other Features

The tent has generously sized ventilation that can easily be adjusted to achieve the desired airflow. The tent fabric is fully waterproof with taped seams and is flame-retardant. Outwell uses a PFC-free coating, which is better for both the environment and people. It also features a sealed floor sewn into the outer tent, which protects against wind, insects, and dirt. The inner tent is pre-attached upon delivery and does not need to be removed when the tent is packed away. 


FAQs on Rigid Air/Smart Air
1. How durable are the air tubes?
The tubes consist of three layers. The outer layer is strong polyester, followed by a protective PVC layer, and finally the TPU tube itself. This construction makes the tubes more resistant to wind than steel and fiberglass poles. However, it is important to only use the included pump and not exceed 0.6 bar pressure, as higher pressure could damage the tubes. 


2. What happens if a tube gets punctured or a valve breaks? Will the tent collapse?
The air tubes in the Air tents are separate. Therefore, the tent will not collapse if a tube is punctured. All tubes can be easily replaced, and minor punctures can be temporarily repaired with a patch or airtight tape (such as duct tape). If a valve stops working, it can also be replaced.
