The Outwell Montana 4 Air is a family tent with outstanding performance and exceptional comfort. The extra-large dark sleeping cabin with two bedrooms and the spacious, bright living area with a ceiling height of 220 cm provide excellent comfort in the tent. A large front opening and a rain-protected side entrance make the tent easy to position and ventilate. About Outwell Montana 4 Air Family Tent

The Outwell Montana 4 Air is a family tent designed for families or groups of up to four people, but we also recommend it for couples or families with one child as the extra space in the bedrooms provides room for luggage and wider beds. The spacious living area with large windows makes the tent bright and pleasant to use, offering space for dining and socializing regardless of the weather during your vacation. The large protected front opening can be opened in two sections, allowing full opening on warm days or partial opening for ventilation while maintaining wind and privacy protection. A sealed floor sewn to the outer tent protects against wind, insects, and dirt. 

The combination of air channels, durable fabric, and a unique guyline construction allows the tent to withstand extreme winds (tested up to 88 km/h). The air channels are also curved at the top to create a larger standing area inside the tent. 

Montana 4 Air features a side opening and a front opening. The rainproof side opening provides easy access to both the sleeping area and the living room, while the large front opening enhances the tent's ventilation on warm days. The side entrance includes double doors and a removable floor between the doors, making it perfect for storing shoes or equipment you don't want inside the tent. 

Ventilation
The rear ventilation can be fully opened to increase airflow on warm days or in the morning. Additionally, the front ventilation is generously sized to improve overall airflow. Two low vents near the windows also enhance the airflow throughout the tent. With integrated mesh panels in the tent openings, you can create extra airflow even when insects are abundant. This is ideal for very hot days or camping in warmer climates.

 

The Living Area

The living area is spacious, with a ceiling height of 220 cm. The large tinted windows reduce heat and minimize visibility while maintaining a bright and pleasant interior. The tent's windows feature roll-up curtains adjustable with zippers, allowing you to control light and privacy. The living area is also excellent for furnishing and using as a dining space. On warm days, the front opening can be fully opened to use the living area as a sheltered outdoor space. 

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lights or other accessories in the tent. The included hooks also allow you to hang equipment or clothes inside the tent. 
 

The Sleeping Cabin

The sleeping cabin is divided into two bedrooms (2+2). The walls between the bedrooms can be removed if you want to bring the whole family together in one large bedroom. A unique feature is the extra spacious sleeping cabin (Outwell Ambassador Bedroom), providing additional space both in length and height compared to standard tent cabins where beds often occupy the entire length, and the back wall creates low height in much of the room. Perfect for storing luggage in the sleeping cabin or simply having extra space to move around.

Outwell Dark Inners
A thicker, darker fabric throughout the sleeping cabin and the fabric above the sleeping cabin minimizes the effect of many tent campers' worst enemy, the morning sun. The sleeping cabin also features a curtain that can be rolled down over the ventilation to reduce light entering through the vent.
 

Outwell Quick & Quiet
One of the bedrooms has, in addition to the zipper, a magnetic strip that allows it to be opened and closed without using the zipper (Outwell Quick & Quiet Inner door). This solution enables entering and exiting the sleeping cabin without waking the rest of the family.  

Other Details

The tent fabric is fully waterproof with taped seams and is flame-retardant. The inner tent is pre-attached at delivery and does not need to be detached when packing up the tent. Color-coded poles and pegs simplify assembly.
