Outwell Winwood 8 is a very spacious tent with four sleeping areas, a large and nice living area and an extra room without a floor in the front that can be used as a sheltered patio or for equipment. A principle that is common in England and is usually called the outer room, inner room and sleeping area. The main part of the tent with the inner tent and the living area has a completely attached floor, which protects against cold drafts, small insects and condensation. A property that provides significantly better comfort if you want to sit in the tent and spend evenings or days with worse weather and a better climate in the tent during cooler nights. Dark sleeping areas protect against morning sun and provide the extra comfort you seek during the camping holiday. 

The big news for 2023 is Outwell Quick & Quiet Access. Double doors in the front where the inner door has large mosquito net panels and a magnetic strip in the middle that gives it a position where it can be opened and closed without using the zippers. Perfect for those occasions when you want to be able to get in and out of the tent quickly and easily without opening the door completely.

About the Outwell Winwood 8 Family Tent

The Outwell Winwood 8 is a family tent suitable for families or groups of up to eight people divided into 4 bedrooms. Having four bedrooms makes it a popular tent for families with older children. For extra comfort, we recommend it for up to 6 people as the small sleeping cabin in the front can be dismantled to create extra space in the front living area. The tent is based on three zones which is a common principle in England and is usually referred to as outer room, inner room, and bedrooms. 

Thanks to color-coded poles, the tent is easy to assemble despite its size. It has a durable tent fabric that not only withstands rain and wind but also rustles less than simpler fabrics when it moves. Large windows provide a bright and pleasant tent, and if you want to reduce visibility, there are curtains on all windows. 

The family tent has two doors, one on the side and a large one in the front. The side entrance makes the tent's inner living area easily accessible and facilitates placement at the campsite, and can also be opened on warm days to ventilate the tent. The large opening at the front covers the entire front, making it easy to fully open the tent and use the front living area as a protected outdoor room.

Outwell Quick & Quiet Access
The door between the living area and the outer room, as well as the door to one of the bedrooms, in addition to the zipper, has a magnetic strip so it can be opened and closed without a zipper. A solution that makes it easy to move between the tent’s rooms, enter and exit the sleeping cabin without waking the rest of the family, and to enter and exit the tent without having to use the zipper (if the outer door is open).


Outwell Crossflow Ventilation
The ventilation at the back can be fully opened to create extra airflow in the tent on warm days or in the morning. The front ventilation is also generously sized to allow for better through flow. As the tent openings also have net doors, you can open them to keep the temperature down in the tent even if there are lots of small insects around. Perfect on really warm days or for those camping in warmer countries.

 

The Living Areas

The tent has two rooms for socializing. Both rooms are spacious, and the door between the two rooms can also be opened to use the entire tent. Large tinted windows along the sides and the windows in the front provide very pleasant light while protecting against visibility. The tent's windows are also equipped with roll-up curtains that adjust in three positions, making it easy to choose how much light or visibility you want.

The outer room can easily be opened up and used for eating or socializing protected from sun and wind, and thanks to the net door, you can also protect yourself if there are small insects around. To increase the size of the outer room, the sleeping cabin can easily be dismantled. If you want a floor in the outer room, you can purchase a floor protector (not included). 

The inner room has a fully sealed floor. By closing the door to the outer room, you can ensure that no cold draughts or small insects enter. A highly appreciated feature in the evening or in bad weather. Both rooms can be excellently furnished.  

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lamps or other accessories to the tent. The included hooks also make it possible to hang equipment or clothes in the tent.
 

The inner tents

The large inner tent in the back of the tent is divided into three sleeping areas (2 + 2 + 2). The walls between the sleeping areas can be removed if you want to gather the whole family in a large sleeping area. & Nbsp; The smaller inner tent in front is adapted for two people and for families who do not need eight seats, it can either be dismantled, used as a guest room or for to store equipment in. A heavier dark fabric in the inner tent and in the outer tent fabric over the inner tent reduces the effect of many tent campers' worst enemy, the morning sun. The inner tent also has a curtain that can be rolled down over the ventilation opening to reduce the light that enters via the valve.

Other:

The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is treated with flame-retardant. The inner tent is pre-assembled on delivery and does not need to be detached when the tent is packed. The poles are colour-coded for easier installation.
