The Outwell Utah 5 is a family tent with fantastic performance and really high comfort. The extra large dark sleeping cabin with two bedrooms and the large, bright living area with a ceiling height of 215 cm provide great comfort in the tent. A large protected front opening with double zippers opens up the tent on warm days. An additional mesh door with magnetic strips at the front, as well as magnetic strips in both sleeping cabins, allow for entering and exiting both the tent and sleeping cabins without using a zipper. This, combined with a strong canvas and steel poles that enable the tent to withstand even the worst weather conditions, makes it one of our most popular family tents.

About Outwell Utah 5 Family Tent

The Outwell Utah 5 is a family tent suited for families or groups of up to five people, but we also recommend it for families with two children as a little extra space in the bedrooms provides additional room for packing and wider beds. The spacious living area with large windows makes the tent bright and pleasant to stay in, so regardless of the weather, there is space for eating and socializing during the holiday. The large protected front opening can be opened from two sides, allowing it to be fully opened on warm days or, for example, just the top part to open up the tent but get more protection against wind and prying eyes. A sealed floor sewn to the outer tent protects the tent against wind, insects, and dirt.

The combination of extra strong Duratec fiberglass poles, a sturdy canvas, and a unique construction of the guy ropes ensure that the tent can withstand extreme winds (tested to 74 km/h). The poles are also curved at the top to create a larger area with standing height in the tent.

Utah 5 has a large opening at the front which opens up the tent on warm days. The extension at the front of the tent allows for shoes and other equipment that you don't want to bring into the tent to be kept protected from the rain. It also makes it easy to enter and exit the tent without bringing in water on rainy days.

Outwell Quick & Quiet
A great feature is that the tent has double doors at the front. The outer one with large windows with curtains and the inner one with large mesh panels. In addition to the zipper, the inner one also has a magnetic strip in the middle which allows you to enter and exit the tent without opening the zipper. Both doors can be rolled away to use just one or open up the tent completely. The door to one of the bedrooms also has, in addition to the zipper, a magnetic strip. A solution that makes it easy to enter and exit the tent during the day and to enter and exit the sleeping cabin without having to fiddle with zippers.


Outwell Crossflow Ventilation
The rear ventilation can be fully opened to create extra airflow in the tent on warm days or in the morning. The front ventilation is also substantially sized to allow for a better through-flow. As the family tent's three openings also have mesh doors, you can fully open the tent to keep the temperature down even when there are a lot of small insects around. Perfect for really hot days or for those who are camping in countries with warmer climates.

 

The Living Area

The living area is spacious with a ceiling height of 215 cm. The large tinted windows keep the heat down and minimize visibility while providing a bright and pleasant indoor environment. The tent's windows are equipped with roll-up curtains that are adjusted with zippers, making it easy to choose how much light or visibility you want. The living area can also be excellently furnished and used as a dining area. On warm days, the front opening can be fully opened to use the living area as a sheltered patio. 

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lights or other accessories in the tent. The included hooks also make it possible to hang up equipment or clothes in the tent. 
 

The Sleeping Cabin

The sleeping cabin is divided into two bedrooms (3+2). The wall between the bedrooms can be removed if you want to gather the whole family in one large bedroom. A unique feature is the extra spacious sleeping cabin (Outwell Ambassador Bedroom) which provides extra space both in length and height compared to normal tent cabins where the beds take up the entire length and the back wall often gives low height in large parts of the room. Perfect for moving luggage into the sleeping cabin or just having a little extra space to move around.

Outwell Dark Inners
A heavier dark fabric throughout the sleeping cabin and in the fabric above the sleeping cabin minimizes the effect of many tent campers' worst enemy, the morning sun. The sleeping cabin also has a curtain that can be rolled down over the ventilation to reduce the light coming in through the vent.
 

Outwell Quick & Quiet Inner
In addition to the zipper, both bedrooms have a magnetic strip so it can be opened and closed without a zipper (Outwell Quick & Quiet Inner door). A solution that allows you to enter and exit the sleeping cabin without waking the rest of the family.  

Other

The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is flame retardant. The inner tent is pre-assembled on delivery and does not need to be detached when the tent is packed up. Color-coded poles and pegs simplify the setup.
