The Outwell Sundale 7PA is a tent that, despite its large size, is quick and easy to set up. All you need to do is attach the tent fabric to the ground and then inflate each channel with the included pump. Then fix the guy ropes and the tent is ready to use. Simple, smart, and fast. Two spacious living areas, one with a sewn-in floor fully protected against drafts and small insects, and three bedrooms with low light penetration to protect against morning sun, provide the extra comfort sought after during a camping vacation.

About Outwell Sundale 7PA

Outwell Sundale 7PA is a family tent adapted for families or groups of up to seven people in 3 bedrooms. For extra comfort, we also recommend it for up to 6 people to get extra space in the bedroom in the middle. The tent is based on three zones, which is a principle that is common in England and is usually called the outer room, inner room and sleeping area.

Instead of poles, it uses Outwell's Rigid Air technology where the poles have been replaced with air channels for easy assembly. The five channels are easily pumped up via the valve in the lower edge on one side of the tent, which is both fast and allows it to be mounted when the tent is pitched. In addition to the simple assembly, the tent has a durable tent fabric that not only withstands rain and wind but also rustles less than simpler fabrics when it moves. Large windows provide a bright and pleasant tent and if you want to reduce transparency, there are curtains on all windows.

The family tent has three doors, two on the side and a large front. The side entrances make the tent easily accessible regardless of location on the campsite and can be opened on hot days to ventilate the tent. The large opening at the front covers the entire front so it is easy to open up the tent completely and use the living area as a sheltered patio.

Outwell Quick & Quiet
The door between the living area and the outer room and the door to the master bedroom has a magnetic strip in addition to the zip so it can be opened and closed without a zipper. A solution that makes it easy to get between the tent rooms, get in and out of the inner tent without waking the rest of the family and to get in and out of the tent without having to use the zip during the day (if the outer door is open). 


Outwell Crossflow Ventilation
The ventilation at the back can be opened up completely to create extra air flow in the tent during hot days or in the morning. The ventilation at the front is also considerably increased to get a better continuous flow. As the family tent's openings also have mesh doors, you can open the tent completely to keep the temperature in the tent down, even if there are a lot of small insects about. Perfect for really hot days or for those who camp in warmer countries.

 

The living areas

The tent has two rooms for socialising. Both rooms are spacious and it is also possible to open the door between the two rooms to use the whole tent. Large tinted windows along the sides and the windows at the front provide a very pleasant light while shielding occupants from view. The tent's windows are also equipped with folding curtains, which makes it easy to choose how much light or transparency you want.

The outer room can easily be opened up and used for eating or socialising in protected from sun and wind and thanks to the mesh door you can also protect yourself if there are small insects about. If you want a floor in the outer room as well, you can buy a footprint (not included). 

The inner room has a completely sealed floor. By closing the door to the outer room, you can then ensure that no cold drafts occur or any small insects enter. A much appreciated quality in the evening or in bad weather. Both rooms are great for furnishing.  

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lamps or other accessories to the tent. The included hooks also make it possible to hang equipment or clothes in the tent.
 

The Inner Tents

The large inner tent in the back of the tent is divided into three bedrooms (2 + 3 + 2). The walls between the bedrooms can be removed to gather the whole family into one large room. A heavier dark fabric in the inner tent and in the outer tent fabric reduces the effect of many tent campers' worst enemy, the morning sun. The inner tent also has a curtain that can be rolled down over the ventilation opening to reduce the light that enters via the valve.

Other
The tent has a well sized ventilation that can be easily adjusted to get the desired air flow. The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is treated with flame-retardant. The inner tent is pre-assembled on delivery, and does not need to be detached when the tent is packed.



Questions and answers Rigid Air / Smart Air
1. How durable are the air tubes?
The tube consist of three layers. On the outside a layer of strong polyester, then a protective layer of PVC and finally the channel itself in TPU. The construction makes the channels more resistant to wind than steel and fiberglass poles. It is important, however, that you only use the supplied pump and do not pump up a pressure higher than 0.6 bar as there is a risk of destroying the channels. 


2. What happens if there is a hole in the channel or a valve breaks? Is the tent collapsing?
The tubes are separate in the Air tents. So the tent does not collapse if there are holes. All tubes can be easily replaced and if it is a small hole, you can also fix it temporarily with an Outwell repair patch, duct tape or silicone tape. Should a valve in the tent stop working, they can also be replaced.
