Large Family Tent with Five Rooms

The Outwell Stonehill 7 Air is a tent that, despite its large size, is quick and easy to set up. All you need to do is to fix the tent fabric on the ground, then inflate each channel with the included pump. Then secure the tent lines, and the tent is ready to use. Simple, smart, and fast. Two living areas, the larger one with an attached floor fully protected against cold drafts and small insects, and three bedrooms with low light transmission protecting against morning sun, provide the extra comfort one seeks during a camping holiday.

Outwell Stonehill 7 Air

  • Rigid Air technology makes it easy to set up/dismantle. Inflate the five air channels instead of using poles.
  • Stable: tested against winds up to 74 km/h
  • Three zones: Outer room, inner room, and bedrooms
  • Inner room: With a floor that is sealed with the tent fabric to protect against cold drafts, moisture, and small insects. Perfect for socializing in the evenings or on cooler days.

  • Bedrooms: Three bedrooms where the partitions can be opened up to create one or two bedrooms if you want to gather the family.

About Outwell Stonehill 7 Air

The Outwell Stonehill 7 Air is a family tent designed for families or groups of up to seven people, distributed across 3 bedrooms. For extra comfort, we also recommend it for up to 6 people to provide additional space in the middle bedroom. The tent is based on a three-zone principle which is common in England and usually called the outer room, inner room, and bedrooms.

Instead of poles, the family tent uses Outwell's Rigid Air technology, where poles are replaced with air channels for easy assembly. The five channels are easily inflated via the valve on the lower edge of one side of the tent. In addition to easy assembly, the tent has a durable tent fabric that not only withstands rain and wind but also rustles less than simpler fabrics when it moves. Large windows provide a bright and pleasant tent, and if you want to reduce visibility, there are curtains on all windows.

Entrances
The family tent has two doors, one on the side and one in the front. The side entrance makes the tent easily accessible regardless of its placement at the campsite and can be opened on warm days to ventilate the tent. The front opening has a two-way zipper so, for example, only the top can be opened. The front roof protects the entrance from rain and makes it possible to leave shoes and equipment outside the tent even in bad weather.

Ventilation
The tent has a wide vent at the back that can be adjusted to create extra airflow in the tent during warm days or in the morning. Since the front opening has both a two-way zipper and a mesh door, it can be fully opened or just the top part to keep the temperature down in the tent even if there are small insects around. The side door also has a mosquito net panel and can be fully opened on warm days.

The Living Areas

The tent has two rooms for socializing. Both rooms are spacious, and it is also possible to open the door between the two rooms to use the entire tent. Large tinted windows along the sides and the front windows provide very pleasant light while protecting against prying eyes. The tent's windows are also equipped with roll-up curtains that can be adjusted in three positions, making it easy to choose how much light or privacy you want.

The outer room can easily be opened and used for eating or socializing, sheltered from the sun and wind. If you want a floor in the outer room as well, you can purchase an additional floor protector (not included).

The inner room has a fully sealed floor. By closing the door to the outer room, you can ensure that no drafts or small insects get in. A very appreciated feature in the evening or in bad weather. Both rooms can be comfortably furnished.

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lights or other accessories in the tent. The included hooks also allow you to hang up equipment or clothes in the tent.

Sleeping Cabin

The sleeping cabin accommodates up to seven people but is ideally used by families with two children to give the kids their own bedrooms or to have extra space for luggage or larger mattresses. It is divided into three bedrooms (2+3+2), but the walls between the rooms can be removed if one wishes to change the layout or gather the family in one large bedroom. The sleeping cabin features heavier dark fabric, and a darker fabric in the outer tent over the sleeping area, reducing the effect of many campers' worst enemy, the morning sun.

The main bedroom, in addition to the zipper, has a magnetic strip so it can be opened and closed without a zipper (Outwell Quick & Quiet Inner door). A solution that allows entering and exiting the sleeping cabin without waking the rest of the family.

Other Features

The tent has generous ventilation that can be easily adjusted to achieve the desired airflow. The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is flame retardant. It also has a sealed floor sewn to the outer tent, which protects the tent from wind, insects, and dirt. The inner tent is pre-assembled on delivery and does not need to be detached when packing the tent.

Questions and Answers Rigid Air/Smart Air
1. How durable are the air channels?
The channels consist of three layers. The outermost layer is a robust polyester, then a protective layer of PVC, and finally, the actual channel in TPU. This construction makes the channels more resistant to wind than steel and fiberglass rods. However, it is important only to use the accompanying pump and not to inflate to a pressure higher than 0.6 bar, as this may damage the channels.

2. What happens if a hole occurs in a channel or a valve breaks? Does the tent collapse?
The channels are separate in Air tents. So, the tent does not collapse if a hole occurs. All channels can easily be replaced, and if there is a minor hole, it can also be temporarily repaired with a patch or an airtight tape (such as duct tape). Should a valve in the tents stop working, they can also be replaced.
