About the Outwell Springwood 5SG family tent

Outwell Springwood 5SG is a family tent of classic design adapted for six people, but we also recommend it for families with two as a little extra space in the inner tent is very worthwhile. Thanks to the stronger fabric, the durable Duratec tent poles and a unique attachment to the guylines, the tent can withstand a wind speed of up to 24 m/s.

The tent has two openings, a rain-protected opening on the side and a large opening in the front. The rainproof side opening means that both the sleeping area and the living area are easily accessible even in bad weather, while the large opening at the front opens up the tent during hot days.

The extra wide ventilation at the back can be opened completely to create extra air flow in the tent on hot days or in the morning.

 

The living area

The living area is spacious and it is possible to furnish it with a table and chairs for five people. The large tinted windows provide a good view and a very pleasant light throughout the room while minimising the inward view. The tent's windows are also equipped with folding curtains, which makes it easy to choose how much light or transparency you want.

 

The Inner Tent

The inner tent in Outwell Springwood 5SG is divided into two sleeping areas with space for 2 and 3 people respectively. The wall between the sleeping areas can be removed to gather the whole family in one large sleeping area. A heavier dark fabric in the inner tent and in the outer tent fabric over the inner tent reduces the effect of many tent campers' worst enemy, the morning sun. The inner tent also has a curtain that can be rolled down over the ventilation to reduce the light that enters through it.
 

Other:

The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is treated with flame retardant. The doors in the outer tent are also equipped with zips that go at the bottom so you can make them tight against the floor. The inner tent is pre-assembled on delivery and does not need to be detached when the tent is packed. The poles are colour-coded for easier installation.
