About the Outwell Springwood 5 family tent

Outwell Springwood 5 is a family tent of classic design adapted for five people, but we also recommend it for families of four as a little extra space in the inner tent is valuable. Thanks to the stronger fabric, the durable Duratec tent poles and a unique attachment to the guylines, the tent can withstand a wind speed of up to 24 m/s.

The tent has two openings, a rain-protected opening on the side and a large opening in the front. The rainproof side opening means that both the bedrooms and the living area are easily accessible even in bad weather, while the large opening at the front opens up the tent during hot days.

Outwell Crossflow Ventilation
The ventilation at the back can be opened up completely to create extra air flow in the tent during hot days or in the morning. As well, the ventilation at the front is substantially increased in order to get a better continuous flow. As the family tent's two openings, in addition to the usual doors, also have mesh doors, you can open the tent completely to keep the temperature in the tent down even if there are a lot of small insects on the move.

The living area

The living area is spacious and it is possible to furnish it with a table and chairs for five people. The large tinted windows provide a very pleasant light throughout the room while minimising transparency. The tent's windows are also equipped with folding curtains, which makes it easy to choose how much light or transparency you want.

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lamps or other accessories to the tent. The included hooks also make it possible to hang equipment or clothes up in the tent.  
 

The inner tent

The inner tent in Outwell Springwood 5 is divided into two bedrooms with space for three people in one and two people in the other. The wall between the bedrooms can be removed to gather the whole family in one large bedroom. A heavier dark fabric in the inner tent and in the outer tent fabric over the inner tent reduces the effect of many tent campers' worst enemy, the morning sun. The inner tent also has a curtain that can be rolled down over the ventilation to reduce the light that enters through it.

Outwell Quick & Quiet
In addition to the zipper, the master bedroom has a magnetic strip so that the door can be opened and closed without a zipper (Outwell Quick & Quiet Inner door). A solution that allows you to get in and out of the inner tent without waking the rest of the family. 

 

Other:

The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is treated with flame retardant. The doors in the outer tent are also equipped with zippers that go all the way down so you can make them tight against the floor. The inner tent is pre-assembled on delivery and does not need to be detached when the tent is packed. The poles are colour-coded for easier installation.
