Outwell Oakwood 5 is the further development of the previously so popular Outwell Franklin 5. Oakwood 5 is a family tent that reminds us of a smaller cottage where, thanks to the protruding roof, you get protected are over the entrance that protects from both rain and sun. A big advantage of the tent is that it  is both easy to assemble and pack-friendly for its size, which makes it a favourite for those who travel with a more limited packing space. The inner tent has low light transmission and which in addition to the zipper also can be opened up with a magnetic strip to make it easier to get in and out of the inner tent (Outwell Quick and Quiet).

About the Outwell Oakwood 5 Family Tent

Outwell Oakwood 5 is a family tent adapted for parties of up to five people. The tent's design is most reminiscent of a small cabin with a protruding roof that protects the door from rain and sun. The small roof can also be used for storing shoes, toys or equipment. Thanks to the compact pack size, many with smaller cars choose Oakwood 5. This is precisely because you get a bright and pleasant tent with a standing height, attached floor and which has a living area that is large enough to be able to sit inside and to eat and socialise during rainy days. 

Outwell Oakwood 5 has a large rain-protected opening from the front which is also equipped with mosquito nets for ventilation on hot days. The D-shaped door opens completely and on hot days the tent can be used as a sheltered patio. The main part of the tent also has a sealed floor sewn to the outer tent, which protects the tent from wind, insects and dirt.  

Outwell Crossflow Ventilation
The ventilation at the back can be opened up completely to create extra air flow in the tent during hot days or in the morning. The ventilation at the front is also considerably increased to get a better continuous flow. As the family tent's two openings, in addition to the usual doors, also have mesh doors, you can open the tent completely to keep the temperature in the tent down even if there are a lot of small insects on the move.
 

The living area

Thanks to the large windows, the ceiling height of 200 cm and the poles bent at the roof, the living area is very spacious for the size of the tent and it is possible to decorate with a table and chairs for socialising in the evenings and rainy days. The large tinted windows provide a very pleasant light throughout the room while minimising transparency. The tent's windows are also equipped with folding curtains, which makes it easy to choose how much light or transparency you want. An advantage is that even the door to the inner tent is fully open to make the tent a single large room.

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lamps or other accessories to the tent. The included hooks also make it possible to hang equipment or clothes up in the tent.  
 

The Inner Tent

The inner tent in Outwell Springwood 5 is divided into two sleeping areas with space for three people in one and two people in the other. The wall between the sleeping areas can be removed to gather the whole family in one large sleeping area. A heavier dark fabric in the inner tent and in the outer tent fabric over the inner tent reduces the effect of the morning sun. The inner tent also has a curtain that can be rolled down over the ventilation to reduce the light that enters through it.

Outwell Quick & Quiet
In addition to the zip, the master sleeping area has a magnetic strip so that the door can be opened and closed without a zip (Outwell Quick & Quiet Inner door). A solution that allows you to get in and out of the inner tent without waking the rest of the family. 

 

Other

The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is treated with flame-retardant. The doors in the outer tent are also equipped with zips that go at the bottom so you can make them tight against the floor. The inner tent is pre-assembled on delivery and does not need to be detached when the tent is packed. The poles are colour-coded for easier installation.
