Outwell Oakwood 3 is a family tent that resembles a smaller cottage where, thanks to the protruding roof, you get protection over the entrance from both rain and sun. Angled tent poles provide a large area with standing height and large tinted windows provide a bright and pleasant living room. On hot days, the large front door can be opened fully, making it possible to use the tent as a sheltered patio.

About Outwell Oakwood 3 Family tent

Outwell Oakwood 3 is an upgraded version of the previously popular Franklin 3 and is a family tent adapted for the couple or family with a child. The tent's design is similar to a small cabin with a protruding roof that protects the door from rain and sun. The small roof can also be used for storing shoes, toys or equipment.

Oakwood 3 has a large rain-protected opening at the front with a D-shaped door that can be opened completely on hot days so the tent can be used as a protected patio. The family tent also has a completely sewn in groundsheet to the outer tent, which protects the tent from wind, insects and dirt.

Thanks to the compact pack size, many with smaller cars choose Outwell Oakwood 3. This is precisely because you get a bright and pleasant tent with a solid floor, large area with standing height and high comfort in the sleeping cabin.

Outwell Crossflow Ventilation
The ventilation at the back can be opened up completely to create extra air flow in the tent during hot days or in the morning. The ventilation at the front is also considerably increased to get a better continuous flow. Since the family tent's has one large opening with a mesh door, you can open the tent completely to keep the temperature in the tent down, even if there are a lot of insects around.
 

The living room

Thanks to the large windows, the ceiling height of 200 cm and that the poles are bent at the roof, the living room is very spacious for the size of the tent and it is possible to decorate with a smaller table and chairs for socializing in the evenings and rainy days. The tinted windows provide a very pleasant light throughout the room while reducing transparency. The tent's windows are also equipped with curtains that are adjusted in three positions, which makes it easy to choose how much light or transparency you want. An advantage is that even the door to the sleeping cabin can be opened fully to make the tent a single large room.

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lamps or other accessories to the tent. The included hooks also make it possible to hang equipment or clothes in the tent.
 

Sleeping cabin

The sleeping cabin can accommodate three people, but we also recommend it for two people as a little extra room provides more space for your items or some kind of storage. A heavier dark fabric in the sleeping cabin and in the outer tent fabric over the sleeping cabin reduces the effect of many tent campers' worst enemy, the morning sun. The sleeping cabin also has a curtain that can be rolled down over the ventilation to reduce the light that enters through it.

Outwell Quick & Quiet
In addition to the zipper, the bedroom has a magnetic strip so that the door can be opened and closed without a zipper (Outwell Quick & Quiet Inner door). A solution that makes it possible to get in and out of the sleeping cabin without waking the rest of the family.

 

Other

The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is flame retardant. The inner tent is pre-assembled on delivery and does not need to be detached when the tent is packed. The rods are color marked for easier installation.
