Outwell Montana 6PE is a family tent with fantastic performance and a really high level of comfort. The extra large dark inner tent with two bedrooms and the large bright living room with a ceiling height of 220 cm provide good comfort in the tent. A large opening at the front, two side entrances where one is rainproof makes the tent easy to place and ventilate. This in combination with a strong canvas and steel poles that makes the tent withstand even the worst weather makes it one of our most popular family tents.

About Outwell Montana 6PE Family Tent

Outwell Montana 6PE is a family tent adapted for families or groups of up to six people, but we also recommend it for families with two or three children as a little extra space in the sleeping areas provides extra space for packing and a wider beds. The spacious living area with large windows makes the tent bright and nice to be in, so regardless of the weather, there is room to eat and socialise on holiday. The large front door is open from two directions, which means that it is fully open on hot days or, for example, only the upper part to open up the tent but get more protection from wind and visibility. It also has a sealed floor sewn to the outer tent, which protects the tent from wind, insects and dirt.

The combination of steel poles, a strong fabric and a unique construction on the guylines means that the tent can withstand extreme winds (tested to 28 m / s). The steel poles are also bent at the top to create a larger surface with a standing height in the tent. 

Montana 6PE has two openings, one from the side and one from the front. The rainproof side opening means that both the sleeping area and the living area are easily accessible even in bad weather, while the large opening at the front opens up the tent during hot days. The side entrance has double doors and a removable floor between the doors, which makes it perfect for storing shoes and other equipment that you do not want to take into the tent. The protection over the front door also makes it easy to enter from the front without drawing in water on rainy days. 

Outwell Crossflow Ventilation
The ventilation at the back can be opened up completely to create extra air flow in the tent during hot days or in the morning. The ventilation at the front is also considerably increased to get a better continuous flow. As the family tent's three openings also have mesh doors, you can open the tent completely to keep the temperature in the tent down, even if there are a lot of small insects on the move. Perfect for really hot days or for you who are camping in countries with warmer climates.

 

The living area

The living area is spacious with a ceiling height of 215 cm. The large tinted windows keep the heat down and minimise transparency while providing a bright and pleasant indoor environment. The tent's windows are equipped with curtains that can be adjusted with zippers, which makes it easy to choose how much light or transparency you want. The living area is also excellent for furnishing and using as a dining area. On hot days, the front opening can be fully opened to use the living area as a sheltered patio. 

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lamps or other accessories to the tent. The included hooks also make it possible to hang equipment or clothes up in the tent.  
 

The Inner Tent

The inner tent is divided into two bedrooms (3 + 3). The wall between the bedrooms can be removed to gather the whole family into one large room. A unique detail is the extra spacious inner tent (Outwell Ambassador Bedroom) which gives you extra space both in length and height compared to normal inner tents where the beds take up the entire length and the back wall often gives low height in large parts of the room. Perfect for moving packs into the inner tent or just having a little extra space to move around.

Outwell Dark Inners
A thicker dark fabric throughout the inner tent, as well as in the canvas above the inner tent, minimises the effect of many tent campers' worst enemy, the morning sun The inner tent also has a curtain that can be rolled down over the ventilation to reduce the light that enters through it.
 

Outwell Quick & Quiet
In addition to the zip, one sleeping area has a magnetic strip so it can be opened and closed without a zip (Outwell Quick & Quiet Inner door). This is a solution that allows you to get in and out of the inner tent without waking the rest of the family.  

Other

The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is treated with flame-retardant. The inner tent is pre-assembled on delivery and does not need to be detached when the tent is packed. Colour-coded poles and pegs simplify assembly.
