Smart battery charger

LTC Charge 16 is a smart battery charger that charges in 9 steps to increase the life of your battery and save time. The microprocessor detects the battery and continuously checks the current and voltage of the battery. This results in an efficient charge while maintaining a good battery life. The product should not be used to charge NICAD / Lion (lithium) batteries.

The 9 steps

1. Battery test and pre-charging (checking the battery voltage and battery connections)
2. Desulphation (Via pulsating current and voltage, the charger detects and removes any sulphate from the battery's lead plates)
3. Soft start (Better test to check the condition of the battery)
4. Bulk (The main step in the charging process where the battery gets most of the charge)
5. Absorption charge (Complete the charge up to 100% and then gradually decrease when the current reaches the maximum level)
6. Reconditioning (Selectable mode, where a charge is made with a higher voltage to remove sulphate from the battery)
7. Analysis (Test of the battery to see if it holds the charge)
8. Maintenance charging (Low and constant voltage for just maintenance charging)
9. Pulse (The charger monitors the battery voltage and gives a pulse when needed to keep the battery fully charged)
