Alde Premium Glycol G12 is pre-mixed and works down to -37 °C. It protects against frost, corrosion, and bacteria while lubricating the circulation pumps. This glycol replaces the previous G13 and can be mixed with it during refilling.

By changing the glycol regularly, you give your Alde Heating System the best possible conditions for consistent and comfortable heat all year round.

Glycol – not just for frost protection
Alde's heating system is a water-based system, which means a mixture of glycol and water is heated in a boiler and circulates through the pipes of the caravan or motorhome to distribute heat. The role of glycol in the heating system can be summarized as follows:

• Frost protection: Prevents the water from freezing and damaging the system.
• Corrosion protection: The glycol protects the inside of the system from rust and wear.
• Prevents bacterial growth: Stops bacteria from growing in the system.
• Improves circulation: Ensures that the heat is distributed evenly and efficiently.

Changing glycol in caravans and motorhomes
The glycol should be replaced every two years to ensure optimal performance. If you use Alde Premium Glycol G12, you can wait up to five years between changes, making maintenance easier.

Which glycol should I choose?
Choose the right glycol: Use an ethylene glycol suitable for aluminum engines and containing inhibitors that protect the system from rust.

Mixture: The glycol should be mixed with 50% glycol and 50% distilled water or water free from salts. The glycol we sell is pre-mixed for optimal performance in Alde's systems.
