Awning fabric

The awning fabric is extremely durable and made from an extra robust, UV-resistant material designed for seasonal campers or campers travelling to warmer or colder climates. The removable window panels are made from durable rip-stop polyester, which reduces weight and pack size. Because the awning fabric is breathable, it helps keep the temperature inside the awning down on warm days while also reducing the risk of condensation. The lightly tinted windows are made from a material tested to withstand both extreme heat and sub-zero temperatures and snow.

 

Questions and answers about Telta air tubes

1. How durable are the air tubes?
Traditionally, inflatable awnings use TPU air tubes protected by a PE or polyester/PE blend cover. Telta has developed a nylon cover that is stronger, more reliable and also reduces weight and pack size. The construction makes the air tubes more resistant to wind than steel and fibreglass poles. However, it is important to only use a pump with a pressure gauge and not inflate to a higher pressure than specified for the awning. 

2. What happens if an air tube is punctured or a valve breaks? Will the awning collapse?
The air tubes are separated by valves, so the awning will not collapse if one air tube is punctured. They can often also be repaired using airtight tape. Both the air tubes and valves are fully replaceable.
