Pitching

Dometic Leggera has two keder beadings of 5 and 7 mm, making it suitable for both caravans and motorhomes. The Dometic Multi Height System also makes it easy to adjust the height by opening a zip at the top of the side of the awning.

Caravan: The caravan needs a straight section of awning rail measuring 300 cm. If one side of the awning is positioned over a window or hatch, it can be sealed using poles or Limpets (not included).
Motorhome: The rail in the cassette awning must be 300 cm for the awning to fit. To measure the height, measure from the bottom edge of the awning down to the ground, preferably at both the front and rear of the awning cassette. It is important that the measurement does not exceed 265 cm on either side.

1. How durable are the air poles?
The air poles consist of three layers. The outermost layer is tent fabric, followed by a protective PVC layer and then the TPU air tube itself. This construction makes the air poles more resistant to wind than steel and fibreglass poles. However, it is important to only use a pump with a pressure gauge and never inflate to a higher pressure than specified for the awning.
