Lightweight and Quick-to-Pitch Awning for Motorhomes

Dometic Rally Air Tour 390 M is a lightweight and flexible motorhome awning with air tubes. The awning is extremely easy to assemble and pitch, and thanks to dual keder rails it can be mounted on both caravans and motorhomes. Simply attach the awning fabric to the rail on the motorhome or caravan awning, secure four pegs in the corners, and inflate the integrated air tubes from a single valve on the awning. Then fasten the seal against the vehicle and the awning is ready to move into. Large window panels around the awning and in the roof provide excellent natural light and a fantastic view. Both the front and side panels can be opened up on warm days.

Doors on both sides offer flexibility when furnishing and keep your caravan or motorhome easily accessible regardless of your campsite pitch. Both the front and side sections can be opened up completely. Both sides feature mosquito mesh panels, providing excellent ventilation without letting insects inside.
 

Installation

Dometic Rally Air Tour M has two keder rails (5 mm and 7 mm), making it suitable for both caravans and motorhomes. The Dometic Multi Height System also makes height adjustment easy by opening a zipper at the top of the awning side.

Caravan: The caravan requires a straight rail section of 390 cm. If one side of the awning covers a window or hatch, it can be sealed using poles or limpets (not included).
Motorhome: The rail in the box awning must be 390 cm for the awning to fit. Measure the height from the underside of the awning cassette down to the ground, preferably at both the front and rear. The height must not exceed 295 cm on either side.
 

Awning Fabric – Dometic Weathershield™ Tour

The fabric is heavy-duty with a 6000 mm hydrostatic head and hot air taped seams. It is tested for a water flow of 200 litres per hour and square metre. In other words, you do not need to worry about heavy rain. A new dyeing technique also ensures that the fabric retains its colour better than standard awning fabrics. 

 

Questions & Answers – Dometic Air Tubes

1. How durable are the air tubes?
The tubes consist of three layers: an outer layer of awning fabric, a protective PVC layer, and the inner TPU air tube. This construction makes the tubes more wind-resistant than steel and fibreglass poles. It is important to use a pump with a pressure gauge and not exceed the specified pressure for the awning. 

2. What happens if a tube gets punctured or a valve breaks? Will the awning collapse?
The tubes are separated by valves, so the awning will not collapse if one tube is damaged. They can often be repaired using airtight tape. Both tubes and valves are fully replaceable.
