Outwell Tennessee 6+2 Air is a tent that, despite its large size, is quick and easy to set up. All you need to do is secure the tent fabric to the ground, then inflate each channel using the included pump. Attach the guy lines, and the tent is ready to use. Simple, smart, and fast. Tennessee 6+2 features two living areas, with the inner one having a sewn-in groundsheet for complete protection against drafts and insects. The outer living area is extra deep, providing plenty of space for socializing and storage, and it also includes an extra sleeping cabin, making it ideal for larger groups or those who need extra flexibility. Outwell Tennessee Air replaces the popular Nightdale 8, with the tent being slightly wider and featuring a PFC-free coating.

About Outwell Tennessee 6+2 Air

Outwell Tennessee 6+2 Air is a family tent designed for families or groups of up to 8 people, divided into 4 bedrooms. The tent is based on three zones, a concept common in England, which is referred to as outer room, inner room, and bedroom.

Instead of poles, the family tent uses Outwell's Rigid Air technology, replacing poles with air channels for easy setup. The five channels are easily inflated via the valve at the lower edge on one side of the tent. In addition to the simple setup, the tent features a durable fabric that not only withstands rain and wind but also rustles less than simpler fabrics when moved. Large windows provide a bright and pleasant interior, and if you want to reduce visibility, curtains are available for all windows. 

Entrances
The family tent has two external doors, one on the side and one at the front. The side entrance makes the tent easily accessible regardless of its position at the campsite and can be opened on warm days to ventilate the tent. 

Ventilation
The tent is equipped with a wide, adjustable vent at the back that provides extra airflow during warm days or mornings. Additionally, the side door includes a mosquito net door that can be used for effective ventilation when the temperature rises.
 

Living areas

The tent offers two spacious social areas that are connected via a wide door, 125 cm, which can easily be rolled to the side to create an open and airy atmosphere. Large tinted windows along the sides and at the front let in pleasant light while protecting against visibility. The windows also come with roll-up curtains that can be adjusted to three different positions to customize light entry and privacy as needed.

The outer room works perfectly as a space for extra bedrooms, meals, or relaxation. It is protected from both sun and wind. For added comfort, a footprint can be purchased separately (not included).

The inner room has a fully sealed floor that ensures drafts and insects stay out. By closing the door to the outer room, you can create a warm and protected environment, especially appreciated in the evening or during bad weather. Both rooms are spacious and can be furnished as needed.

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lamps or other accessories inside the tent. The included hooks also allow for hanging equipment or clothes in the tent.

The Sleeping Cabin

The sleeping cabins can accommodate a total of 8 people. They are divided into four bedrooms (2+2+2+2), where the walls between the bedrooms in the large sleeping cabin can be removed if you want to change the layout or gather the family in one large bedroom. The extra sleeping cabin can be installed in the outer room. Both the large and small sleeping cabins feature thicker dark fabric, which reduces the effect of many campers' worst enemy: the morning sun.

The large bedroom, in addition to the zipper, has a magnetic strip allowing it to be opened and closed without a zipper (Outwell Quick & Quiet Inner Door). This solution enables access in and out of the sleeping cabin without waking the rest of the family.
 

Other Features

The tent has generous ventilation that can easily be adjusted to achieve the desired airflow. The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is flame-retardant. Outwell uses a PFC-free coating, which is better for both the environment and people. It also features a sealed floor sewn to the outer tent, protecting it from wind, insects, and dirt. The inner tent is pre-assembled upon delivery and does not need to be detached when packing the tent away. 


Questions and Answers: Rigid Air/Smart Air
1. How durable are the air channels?
The channels consist of three layers. The outermost is a layer of durable polyester, followed by a protective PVC layer, and then the TPU channel itself. This construction makes the channels more resistant to wind than steel or fiberglass poles. However, it is important to only use the included pump and not inflate above 0.6 bar, as this could damage the channels. 


2. What happens if a channel gets punctured or a valve breaks? Will the tent collapse?
The channels in Air tents are separate. This means the tent will not collapse if a channel gets punctured. All channels are easy to replace, and minor holes can also be temporarily repaired with a patch or airtight tape (e.g., duct tape). Should a valve stop working, it can also be replaced.
