Thanks to the Rigid Air technology, you only need to secure the tent fabric to the ground and inflate the air tubes with the included pump. The only pole used is for the sun canopy, which can be mounted once the tent is erected. The sewn-in groundsheet provides effective protection against dirt, draughts, and insects, and the tent is ready to use in just a few minutes. The tent also features large tinted windows that let in soft, pleasant light while reducing visibility and protecting against heat.

The Outwell Monterey 5 Air is a family tent suitable for a family or couples looking for extra space. With Rigid Air technology, setup is simple – inflate the three air tubes, and the tent stands in place without the need for traditional poles. The durable tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is flame-retardant. The living area is spacious enough to furnish with a table and chairs and features large tinted windows that create a pleasant light. Curtains on all windows allow for easy adjustment of light entry and privacy.

The front extension protects the entrance from rain and wind, making it a perfect spot for storing shoes, toys, and other items without them getting wet, even in rainy weather.

The Living Area
The living area provides ample space for up to 5 people. The large tinted windows offer soft light and privacy. To further adjust lighting, all windows are equipped with curtains that can be set in three positions. The flat entrance and sealed groundsheet make it easy and safe to move between the living area and the sleeping cabin.

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lights or other accessories in the tent. The included hooks also allow you to hang equipment or clothes inside the tent. 
 

Sleeping Cabin
The sleeping cabin is designed for up to 5 people and features dark fabric in the ceiling and walls to reduce light entry – perfect for sleep-ins or early bedtimes. Curtains over the ventilation nets allow control over the amount of light and air that enters.

Questions and Answers on Rigid Air/Smart Air
1. How durable are the air tubes?
The tubes consist of three layers. The outermost layer is made of strong polyester, followed by a protective PVC layer, and finally the TPU tube itself. This construction makes the tubes more resistant to wind than steel and fiberglass poles. However, it is crucial to use only the provided pump and not to inflate beyond 0.8 bar, as this risks damaging the tubes. 


2. What happens if a tube gets punctured or a valve breaks? Will the tent collapse?
The tubes in Rigid Air tents are separate, and Smart Air tents have them divided with valves. This means the tent will not collapse if a tube gets punctured. All tubes are easy to replace, and minor punctures can be temporarily repaired with duct tape or silicone tape. If a valve stops working, it can also be replaced.
