Outwell Iowa 5 Air is a spacious family tent offering high comfort and smart design. The darkened inner tents with Ambassador design provide generous space and reduced light entry for better sleep. The large open front extension creates a sheltered outdoor seating area, protects the entrance from rain, sun and wind and also provides generous space for storing bicycles, a stroller or other equipment you prefer not to bring inside the tent. The large front door can be fully opened, helping to reduce the temperature on warm days. Combined with tinted windows, flexible curtains and a headroom that creates a bright and spacious feel, Iowa 5 Air is perfect for families wanting a large yet flexible tent. The durable Outtex® 6000 ripstop fabric and aerodynamic construction withstand tough weather conditions, while the air tubes and sewn-in groundsheet make the tent highly wind resistant and easy to pitch.

About Outwell Iowa 5 Air Family Tent

Outwell Iowa 5 Air is a family tent designed for families or groups of up to 5 people. We also recommend it for families with 2 or 3 children, as the extra space in both bedrooms and the living area provides additional room for luggage and wider beds. The living area with large windows makes the tent bright and pleasant, ensuring there is always space for dining and socialising – regardless of the weather. The large sheltered front entrance creates a covered outdoor area for seating or storage. The sides can be opened on days when only shade is needed. The large front door can be opened in two sections, allowing it to be fully opened on warm days or partially opened for increased ventilation while maintaining protection from wind and visibility. The sewn-in groundsheet attached to the flysheet protects against wind, insects and dirt.

The combination of air tubes, durable fabric and a unique guyline construction enables the tent to withstand extreme winds (tested up to 88 km/h). The air tubes are pre-shaped at the top to create increased standing height inside the tent.

Outwell Iowa 5 Air features one large front opening and two smaller side entrances. The side openings provide easy access to both the sleeping and living areas, while the large front opening fully opens the tent on warm days. The front door can be opened fully or halfway. All doors can be rolled completely aside, creating a fully open and airy tent during warm weather. Mesh panels in both the front door and on the sides allow additional ventilation without letting insects in.

Ventilation
The rear ventilation can be fully opened to create additional airflow on warm days or in the morning. The front ventilation is also generously sized to ensure better through-ventilation. Two low vents at the windows provide extra airflow. As the tent openings also feature integrated mesh panels that can be opened, extra airflow can be created even when insects are active. Perfect for very warm days or camping in warmer climates.
 

Living area

The living area is spacious with 225 cm headroom. The large tinted windows reduce heat and minimise visibility from outside while creating a bright and pleasant indoor environment. The windows are equipped with roll-away curtains that are easily adjusted with zippers, making it simple to control light and privacy. The living area can easily be furnished and used as a dining area. On warm days, the front opening can be fully opened to use the living area as a sheltered outdoor space.

Outwell Light System 
Outwell Iowa 5 Air is equipped with a dimmable light strip in the ceiling of the living area providing pleasant lighting inside the tent. The light is easily controlled via the control unit located on the outside of one of the air tubes. Powered via USB such as a Power Bank, Power Station or phone charger (not included).

Outwell HookTrack System
Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lamps or other accessories inside the tent. The included hooks also allow you to hang equipment or clothing inside the tent.
