Air Awning for Season Camping

The Dometic Ace Air All-season is a variant of the popular Dometic Ace Air Pro 400 tent, but with a stronger tent fabric suitable for those who camp a lot, in warmer latitudes, or for longer periods. The tent fabric, made of a breathable poly-cotton material, designed to last, makes this awning extremely resistant to harsh weather, wind, and sun. The tent is very easy to assemble and erect, and thanks to double keder strips, it can be mounted on both caravans and motorhomes. Just attach the tent fabric to the rail on the caravan or the motorhome's awning, place four pegs in the corners, and inflate the integrated channels in the tent fabric that form the frame from a valve on the tent. Then secure the seal against the caravan, and the tent is ready for occupancy. Large windows around the tent provide good light and a really good view.

About the Dometic Ace Air 400 All-Season

The Dometic Ace Air All-Season is an awning that not only provides a high level of comfort but, thanks to the durable fabric and stable air channels, can be used for a very long time. With a depth of 325 cm and bent air channels providing a good ceiling height throughout the tent, there is plenty of space for furniture without making the awning feel cramped. Doors from both sides further add to the freedom of arranging furniture while keeping the caravan or motorhome easily accessible. If you want to open up the tent more, both the front and side sections can be opened. Both doors have mosquito nets, which provide excellent ventilation without letting in small insects.
 

Installation

The Dometic Ace Air features two keder strips of 5 and 7 mm, so it fits both caravans and motorhomes. The Dometic Multi Height System also makes it easy to adjust the height by opening a zipper at the top of the tent's side.

Caravan: The caravan needs a straight part of the rail that is 400 cm. If one side of the tent ends up over a window or a hatch, it can be sealed using poles or limpets (not included).
Motorhome: The track in the box awning must be 400 cm for the tent to fit. To measure the height, measure from the bottom edge of the awning down to the ground, and it's a good idea to measure both the front and back of the awning box. It's important that the measurement does not exceed 265 cm on any side.

Questions and Answers about Dometic Air Channels

1. How durable are the air channels?
The channels consist of three layers. The outermost layer is a tent fabric, then a protective layer of PVC, and then the actual channel in TPU. The construction makes the channels more resistant to wind than steel and fiberglass rods. However, it is important to only use a pump with a pressure gauge and not to inflate to a higher pressure than specified for the tent. 

2. What happens if a hole occurs in the channel or a valve breaks? Does the tent collapse?
The channels are separated by valves, so the tent does not collapse if a hole occurs in a channel. They can often also be repaired with airtight tape. Both channels and valves are completely replaceable.
