Outwell Colorado 6PE is an exclusive family tent with fantastic performance, extra large sheltered opening in the front, two side entrances and an impressive ceiling height of 220 cm. This in combination with steel poles, completely sewn floor, Outwell's most powerful fabric and its many comfort-enhancing qualities makes it one of the market's best family tents. That it has three bedrooms is something that many families with older children appreciate. If you want to gather the family in a large bedroom instead, the wall between the rooms can be opened up.

About Outwell Colorado 6PE Family Tent

Outwell Colorado 6PE is a larger version of the Outwell Montana 6PE with three spacious bedrooms instead of two, a slightly larger living area and a large extension at the front instead of Outwell Montana 6PE's rain-protected side entrance. The tent is adapted for families or groups of up to six people, but we also recommend it for families with two or three children as a little extra space in the sleeping areas provides extra space for packing and a little wider beds. The very spacious living area with large windows makes the tent bright and nice to be in, so regardless of the weather, there is room to eat and socialise on holiday. The large front door is opend from two directions, which means that it can be fully opend on hot days or, for example, only the upper part to open up the tent but get more protection from wind and visibility. The sunroof in front allows you to sit there and get shade during hot days or use to store shoes and other equipment you do not want in the tent but protect against rain. It also has a sealed floor sewn to the outer tent, which protects the tent from wind, insects and dirt.

The combination of steel poles, a strong fabric and a unique construction on the guylines enables the tent to withstand extreme winds (tested to 28 m / s). The steel poles are also bent at the top to create a larger surface with a standing height in the tent. 

The Colorado 6PE has two openings, one from the side and one from the front. The large rainproof opening at the front makes it easy to get in without draging in water on rainy days and makes it easy to open up the tent completely on hot days.

Outwell Crossflow Ventilation
The ventilation at the back can be opened up completely to create extra air flow in the tent during hot days or in the morning. The ventilation at the front of the windows is also considerably increased to get a better continuous flow. As the family tent's three openings also have mesh doors, you can open the tent completely to keep the temperature in the tent down, even if there are a lot of small insects on the move. Perfect for really hot days or for you who are camping in countries with warmer climates.

The living area

The living area is spacious with a ceiling height of 215 cm. The large tinted windows keep the heat down and minimise transparency while providing a bright and pleasant indoor environment. The tent's windows are equipped with folding curtains that can be attached in three different levels, which makes it easy to choose how much light or transparency you want. The living area is also excellent for furnishing and using as a dining area. On hot days, the front opening can be fully opened to use the living area as a sheltered patio. 

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lamps or other accessories to the tent. The included hooks also make it possible to hang equipment or clothes up in the tent.  
 

The Inner Tent

The inner tent is divided into three bedrooms (2 + 2 + 2). The walls between the bedrooms can be removed if you want to gather the whole family in one large bedroom or divide the family into one large and one smaller room. A unique detail is the extra spacious inner tent (Outwell Ambassador Bedroom) which gives you extra space both in length and height compared to normal innertents where the beds take up the entire length and the back wall often provides low height in large parts of the room. Perfect for moving equipment into the inner tent or just having a little extra space.

Outwell Dark Inners
A thicker dark fabric throughout the inner tent, as well as in the canvas above the inner tent, minimises the effect of many tent campers' worst enemy, the morning sun. The inner tent also has a curtain that can be rolled down over the ventilation to reduce the light that enters through it.

Outwell Quick & Quiet
In addition to the zipper, one bedroom has a magnetic strip so it can be opened and closed without a zip (Outwell Quick & Quiet Inner door). This is a solution that allows you to get in and out of the inner tent without waking the rest of the family.  

Other

The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is treated with flame-retardant. The inner tent is pre-assembled on delivery and does not need to be detached when the tent is packed. Colour-coded poles and pegs simplify assembly.
